Active Speakers

Active speakers are a special type of speaker that has a built-in amplifier and therefore are standalone audio systems that do not require additional amplifiers. This means that active speakers can be directly connected to a sound source, such as a TV, computer, smartphone, or audio server, and start playing music without the need for additional devices.

Active speakers are typically composed of several components, including the enclosure, speaker units (e.g., bass, midrange, and tweeter speakers), and built-in amplifier. The enclosure of active speakers is usually made of wood, plastic, or metal and designed to reduce unwanted resonant frequencies and improve sound quality. Some active speakers also have special enclosure shapes like box or column speakers, which enhance speaker efficiency.

Speaker units are the main components of active speakers that create sound. These units include bass units responsible for low frequencies, midrange units responsible for mid frequencies, and tweeter units responsible for high frequencies. These units are typically made of materials such as paper, plastic, metal, or ceramics.

Active speakers are an excellent choice for those who want high-quality sound without needing additional amplifiers. Additionally, active speakers are also a great option for those looking to improve sound quality in their homes, as speakers are typically of higher quality than built-in speakers in TVs or other devices.
